GIS cell was established at WMD in 1994.At present ,this cell has latest Hardware and software which includes workstations, plotters, digitizing tables, ArcGIS , ArcInfo, ArcView software. This cell has digitized topographical features and MWS boundaries of the state on a scale of 1:50,000.The spatial data is linked with of non-spatial data like MWS wise land use, listed locations which are covered under any Government watershed schemes. GIS techniques are being used for project preparation , validation and monitoring of watershed projects.
