Dolgad community's endeavours have reversed the land degradation process and promoted integration of ecosystem management with human development needs. For their success in long-term sustainability of watersheds, the gram panchayat (Local community governance institution) Selalekh of Dolgad watershed community was awarded the National Groundwater Augmentation Award 2010. Their practices have been judged as "best" and have been disseminated for mainstreaming in the state and national policies and programmes.
